Begin.

Learn the fundamentals of:

    Posture
Alignment
   What are core muscles? 
    Stage one - Planks 
TRX strap basics
    Sharpening Awareness
    Breathing
    Stretching

You will learn how to avoid injury and how to stretch your body after a great exercise session.

You will need TRX straps - Chair - a Yoga Block - Yoga Mat- Towel and a glass or bottle of water

This will be your foundation to build upon….

Refine.

You will kick it up a notch - getting on the TRX straps and learning more poses.

You will learn “to earn your progression”, by using different body angles and/or stances; Sharpening your awareness and listening to your bodies sensations.

Working on rooting your core to grow your stability, mobility, & flexibility into a stronger foundation.

The session will be 55 min of strength training followed by a 40 min session of Hatha yoga for prolonged stretches.



Excel.

Excel students will challenge what we have learned and put it to use to create a stronger awareness. We will practice preventing injury and really dig in to challenge our limits while respecting our alignment and posture.

We will incorporate a timer into our exercises to get the most from each workout. 

Each exercise will focus and challenge different areas of the body to measure growth for an increase of balance, flexibility, mobility and strength. 

The session will be 55 min of strength training followed by a 40 min session of Hatha yoga for prolonged stretches.

TRX

TRX = Total Body Resistance Training
It was developed by a U.S. Navy Seal. TRX suspension training is a specialized form of exercises that uses straps to leverage the bodyweight of the user against gravity.

TRX workouts will challenge every single area of the body for a serious increase of balance, strength and flexibility. Literally targeting every single muscle getting a full body workout.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga is the fundamental system of yoga that focuses on the pairing of poses or “asanas” with breathing techniques or “pranayama”

In todays yoga community, the term “Hatha Yoga” is oftened used to distinguish classes that pair pranayama and traditional yoga poses. Hatha Yoga focuses on flowing the breath in static postures to be with them longer. Yogis can find accommodating practice, full of static postures, mindful breathwork and manageable pace - Making this practice feasible or attainable to all levels of yogis.
